Youth 4 the Kingdom understands that the key to discipleship is to Train Local/Native Workers. Jesus said, “Go and make disciples of all nations.” Matthew 28:19

Education

We stress the importance of being literate because it is at the foundation of any thriving, growing community in today’s world. .. is the key to the next generation’s success.

Education is widely accepted as a fundamental resource for individuals and societies. Regarding the consequences of education, a growing body of empirical research suggests that better education yields higher individual income and contributes to the construction of social capital and long-term economic growth. Though the data shows that literacy is higher today than ever, there are still significant challenges in many developing countries.

Distinctively Christian

We emphasize the importance of Christian education. Christianity is historically at the heart of free civilized nations.

Education is a common motive in the Bible. From Abraham, whom God was sure would teach his children to keep the way of the Lord (Genesis 18:19), to the Israelites in the wilderness (Exodus 24:12, Deuteronomy 4:9, 6:7, etc.). To the community of believers in Jesus Christ (Mark 6:34), the early church (Acts 2:42), and the body of Christ until the end (John 14:26, 1 John 2:27), God Himself is interested and involved in the education of every new generation.

It is common for pastors in many localities in Africa and Asia to also fill the role of teachers and professors, especially in rural communities. To help them in this role, we provide them with age-appropriate material and even sponsor repairs and construction of school facilities.

Construction of Schools

We build schools in under-served countries and regions.

In West Africa, Y4K teams sponsored and completed reparations of two village schools.

We are currently involved in constructing a new school in Senegal in cooperation with a local Christian organization that received the approval to teach a Christian curriculum during the school year.

Youth and Children’s Ministry: Through VBS and Summer Camps, We Introduce Children, Some of Them for the First Time, to the Gospel.

In partnership with local churches and ministers, Y4K teams sponsored youth and children camps in Romania, India, and countries in West Africa. In addition to games, we did Bible lessons, taught the children songs, and did Christian games, which for some was the first time they heard the Gospel’s message. When resources were available, the Y4K team put together gift packages with sweets and toys in communities where the children never had the opportunity to receive such gifts.
